What If? When you hear the word 'church' what do you think of? Boring, irrelevant, stuffy, political, fake? What if church was different? What if church was authentic, relevant, challenging, fun? What if church was building a house for someone else or serving meals to the homeless? What if church was all about loving God and loving others? What if it asked the hard questions but didn't try to give easy answers? Most people have no idea that church can be all these things - but we are. We actually view what we are doing as a movement to serve people and not just as a church. Yes, we may go to a place where we gather together as a large group - but you will most likely find us doing yard work for a single mom, or buying groceries for a man with a debilitating illness. Many of the people who are part of Journey 2L2 will never walk through the doors of our building but will still be a large part of our community. As we begin to build that community, we are excited to see who else will join with us, who will pray with us, and what this Journey will bring! |
