Action Teams
|
Action Teams Connecting with others is a big value at Journey 2L2. It’s because we believe life is best lived in the context of small, tight-knit communities. Action Teams provide a place to be real, study God’s word, serve others, and do life together. What is an Action Team? An Action Team is a small group of individuals who: meet regularly; are involved in the lives of each other; are involved in the community; and encourage, support and serve together. It is not just a social club, not just a bible study, or not just a service group. An Action Team is open to anyone at anytime. There is no membership or affiliation requirement. What does an Action Team do? They fellowship together, they pray together, they serve together – both one another and others, they celebrate together, they mourn together, and they grow with God together. How is an Action Team different from the teams of people we have been sending out to do service projects? All three components are essential for Journey 2L2 Action Teams; fellowship, service, and Bible Study. We will continue to do service projects as a large-group church, but there will also be service projects going on within the Action Teams. |
