Several months ago, we began dreaming about what it would be like to do our own version of "Extreme Home Makeover." On June 9th, that dream became a reality. We searched yard sales, flea markets, and our own homes for furniture, housewares and decorations and then on a budget of $500 and with the help of a professional designer who donated her time, we were able to transform a two bedroom apartment into a showcase home.

The recipient of this home transformation was a single mom and her two children who had previously been homeless and had worked their way through a transitional housing program into their own home.

We sent the family out to spend the day together, and when they returned and saw their new space there was not a dry eye in the house.

Thank you to everyone who gave so much to make this happen. You are true examples of what it means to be the hands of Jesus.
