During our Hope in Soup, Smiles and Blankets project we asked the Salvation Army Day Shelter if there was anything else they needed. 
The repsonse was socks.  We put the word out that we wanted to
collect 300 pairs of socks in 3 weeks.  The response was overwhelming - we collected over 600 pairs of socks.  Keep forwarding the
Project of the Week emails - they get attention.  We were also able
to speak with the director about a sock washing program which will make these socks last even longer!
